Craven Berkeley, MP for Cheltenham Fought a duel with fellow MP, Captain H.G. Boldero.
Berkeley accused Boldero of making disrespectful comments about Her Majesty the Queen.
W. Ridley Colbourne was second for Berkeley & W.E.F. McKenzie for Boldero, both seconds were also Members of Parliament.
In true tradition the four met at dawn, at Osterley Park, West London.
Pistols were chosen, the pair stood back to back, took ten paces & turned & fired!
The seconds reloaded the pistol’s.
They again stood back to back, took another ten paces, turned & fired!
They both missed again!
All four turned & went home.
Well what did you expect?
Politicians cant get anything right!
